- 50 ml Water
- 50 grams Caster Sugar
- 600 ml Orange Juice
- 200 ml Water
Pour the 50ml water into the small saucepan and stir in the 50 grams of caster sugar. Place over o low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Leave to one side to cool for 10 minutes.
In your 1 litre jug, add the 600ml orange juice, the water and the sugar syrup and mix well.
Place the lolly mould onto a baking tray that will sit comfortably inside your freezer. Pour the mixture into the lolly mould, leaving a 5mm gap at the top to allow the mixture to expand during freezing. Put the lid onto the mould and insert the lolly sticks into each cavity.
Place the mould into the freezer and leave for 6 hours to freeze.
When they are well frozen, remove the lollies from the mould. This is easier if you wiggle the lolly while gently pulling.
Store the lollies in a freezer proof container, placing each one on some baking parchment keeping them well separated. Add another layer of parchment and place more lollies on the top.
Or you can wrap each one in cling film making them quick to grab.
