You know how it is when you find the perfect dress, it fits well, you love the fabric and the design. My favourite dress at the moment came from Joules – it was a bit of a treat when I bought it because it cost over £80!
So, as I love it so much I have looked around for a similar pattern to make a similar version of my dress myself.
The nearest in style I could get was this McCall’s pattern. It’s not exactly the same but that is not essential. What I really like about this pattern is it has the same cross-over front and should fit well at the waist.
I am going to have a go at version A with the 3/4 length sleeves – all I need to do now is find the fabric!
I am lucky enough to have a fantastic fabric shop right on my doorstep but unfortunately they do not sell any form of jersey or stretch dress fabrics that this style needs so I am going to have to hit the internet and get samples or just plunge in and buy something without seeing it.
Hopefully, I’ll find something I like soon as I am really looking forward to getting started on this one!
